Pachyammos is a small picturesque traditional Cypriot village with a population of around 200 people. It is famous for its stunning scenery and sandy blue flag beaches, where the lush green mountains roll into the coast line. Pachyammos enjoys visitors from all over Cyprus and overseas to its ancient church, St. Raphael. The name Pachyammos derives from the Greek words ‘Pachy” meaning thick, and ‘ammos’ meaning sand.
